The tier-1 network includes connections to top fiber backbones UUNet, Level 3, NTT/Verio, and AboveNet. The building also houses “super-nodes” for MCI and AT&T local phone service in San Francisco, so it is considered an “essential” facility because 911 calls are routed there. Software elements CMS runs a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) system. We have multiple servers for website hosting, application and database hosting, email and DNS. We have multiple redundancies for every aspect of our hosting. elements CMS maintains 99.99% uptime. Hardware elements CMS runs Dell Power Edge servers with multiple gigabytes of RAM, raid array HDD’s, redundant power supplies and Ethernet connections. Backup and Recovery elements CMS backs up all data nightly to a Storage Area Network (SAN) located in an adjacent, telecom grade building. We back up all critical data to our office, located in San Luis Obispo, CA, weekly. Email and Spam elements CMS runs its own email server and also adheres to CAN SPAM regulations and ethical anti-spam rules. Every client is contractually required to adhere to these and elements CMS constantly monitors email deployments. All of elements CMS's IP’s are registered with AOL and other large ISP white lists.
